    Facilitates projects and initiatives that improve the service performance and cost position of targeted business activities by collecting, analyzing and presenting complex data.  Contribute analytical skills, six sigma tools, lean processes and fresh ideas to projects and initiatives. Assist with the engagement of distribution center leaders as a champion of continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    Continuous Improvement

    1. Participates in work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions
    2. Develops demand forecasts
    3. Works with internal and external customers and IT partners to develop and analyze business intelligence needs
    4. Provides input to business requirements and determines optimum BI solutions to meet needs
    5. Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise-wide BI systems
    6. Designs organization-wide views and custom reports
    7. May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms
    8. Researches business problems and creates models that help analyze these business problems
    9. Provides input to the development of information quality metrics
    10. Researches tools, frameworks and mechanisms for data analytics
    11. Provides input to standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of the BI tools and systems
    12. Collects and monitors activities to assess trends and opportunities for each business unit (DC) and provide proactive recommendations
    13. Assits with establishing the measuring and tracking process for each initiative and project and provides timely reports to all stakeholders.
    14. Designs and delivers end-user training and training materials
    15. Trains users to transform data into action-oriented information and to use that information correctly
    16. Perform other duties as assigned.
    17. Facilitate systematic problem solving, implementing solutions to solve root-cause problems.
    18. Facilitate processes to identify and implement initiatives/projects that reduce costs and improve services to logistics customers.
    19. Provides feedback to the leadership team regarding opportunities in current SOPs and potential changes.
    20. Identifies relevant technologies that can improve operations including, safety performance.
    21. Communicates with operations and corporate leadership on opportunities and progress.
    22. Assists with developing synergies across all operations especially with systemwide initiatives.
    23. Establishes and manages systems to support “right the first time” culture.
    24. Learn and use lean tools and principles including value stream maps, kaizen events and 5-s reviews.
    25. Lead and/or facilate continuous improvement kaizens at distribution centers. Prioritze kaizen and other tasks.

      

    LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

    Facilitate smaller teams to implement initiatives and projects.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

    Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information

     

    Education/Certification:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or equivalent work experience

     

    Experience:

    Minimum 3–5 years of Business Analysis experience

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
    • Power BI preferred
    • Business Objects
    • Data validation – ability to validate the accuracy of reports
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
