Overview

Supervises day-to-day wastewater operations activities to ensure compliance with GSF and regulatory agency guidelines for health and safety.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Supervises three shifts of wastewater operations staff, ensuring that GSF, county and state regulations and guidelines are met. (30%)
  2.  
  3. Supervises three shifts of staff performing outside storage, forklift, pallet repair, and janitorial activities to ensure that company guidelines are met. (15%)
  4.  
  5. Provides and receives training in shift and team meetings, seminars and in classrooms to develop SSOPs. (15%)
  6.  
  7. Monitors wastewater facility capabilities and equipment to prepare for future manufacturing growth, reducing waste streams to the wastewater facility to ensure efficient operations. (10%)
  8.  
  9. Coordinates and schedules structural and equipment repair and replacement. (10%)
  10.  
  11. Coordinates facility recycling and waste item removal from the facility, and performs other duties as required for efficient operations. (10%)
  12.  
  13. Monitors and maintains supply of required chemicals, supplies, and equipment to ensure smooth operations. (5%)
  14.  
  15. Manages supplies budget to reduce costs when possible. (5%)
  16.  
  17. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

AA degree in food science or engineering from an accredited vocational, technical or junior college institution

 

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience

  • Waste treatment processes (activated sludge, chemical and physical treatment processes) (E)
